Pre-Departure Orientation Seminar
The Pre-Departure Orientation Seminar (PDOS) prepares the personnel of the Department of Foreign Affairs and other government agencies for service in Philippine diplomatic and consular posts abroad.
The PDOS orients participants to the functions and operations of foreign service establishments, prepares them for relocation to a foreign environment, taking into account the need for cross-cultural adaptation and awareness, and provides them with basic information on their work in diplomatic or consular posts. It also acquaints participants with some of the more common types of challenges while on post overseas and equips them with certain basic tools (e.g., attitudinal approach) to enable them to meet those challenges.

Management Training for Heads of Posts and their Spouses

This is designed to enrich their knowledge and skills in managing their official, social, and diplomatic functions abroad.
