Course Information
The Certificate Course on International Relations and Diplomacy (CCIRD) is one of the flagship training programs of the Foreign Service Institute Employees’ Association (FSIEA). The Course covers the relevant concepts and critical issues on international affairs and extends to its application in work of the Philippine Foreign Service and the diplomatic arena.
CCIRD consists of four (4) modules focusing on Philippine Foreign Policy pillars. Each module runs for three (3) consecutive Saturdays covering pertinent issues. Course fee includes training kits, certificate and meals (AM snack, Lunch, PM snack).
The course is designed for international relations practitioners who want to contribute to discussions on foreign affairs, for professionals who want to learn more about foreign relations and diplomacy, for graduates of international relations who want to pursue a career in international organizations, and for anyone looking to study regional and global politics and international development.
Our initial offering of the CCIRD consists of the following modules:
Module 1: National Security
Module 2: Economic Diplomacy
Module 3: International Migration and Assistance-to-Nationals
Module 4: Public Diplomacy
Only 40 participants will be accommodated for each module. The training venue will be held at Kabayan Hotel in Taft Avenue, Pasay City. Training runs for 6 hours from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., every Saturday . All participants are required to pre-register. Walk-in registration is strictly not allowed.
All courses and training programs by FSIEA are endorsed and certified by the Foreign Service Institute. The resource persons of all training courses are from the pool of experts maintained by the Institute and are composed of retired and current diplomats and Foreign Service Officers, foreign affairs research specialists, and renowned experts in their fields and industries.
