The Foreign Service Institute (FSI) of the Philippines convened the first FSI Board Meeting on 15 June 2023 at the Carlos P. Garcia Conference Room of the Department of Foreign Affairs. The Board Meeting was chaired by Secretary for Foreign Affairs Enrique Manalo and attended by the all the members of the Board, namely: Atty. Engelbert Caronan, President and CEO of the Development Academy of the Philippines; Atty. Karlo AB Nograles, Chairperson of the Civil Service Commission; Atty. Angelo Jimenez, President of the University of the Philippines; and FSI Director-General Ma. Teresita Daza.

The board members engaged in constructive discussions emphasizing the significance of the FSI’s role in promoting and strengthening the Philippines’ diplomatic endeavors.  The collective efforts of the board are integral to driving the institute’s growth and ensuring its continued relevance in an ever-changing global landscape.

Secretary Manalo expressed gratitude to the board members for their active participation, valuable insights, and commitment to the FSI’s vision and mission.

The Philippine Foreign Service Institute (FSI) is the training and research arm of the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) in the Philippines.
