The Foreign Service Institute hosted the artists’ reception for “Hindi Mabigkas na mga Sanaysay: A Group Exhibit.” The exhibit features Christian + Collective’s visual artists.
Acclaimed missionary visual artist and Philippine Navy Reservist CMO2 Kristine Lim PN (Res), together with Ms. Cindel Tiausas Managing Director of Art Lounge Manila, curates the group show in time for the National Arts Month celebration. The show features the works of CHRISTIAN MIRANG, DIEGO, INKA MADERA, KRISTINE LIM, RODEL BUBAN, RANDIE TOJOS, SHERWIN TAN, SHUN ABLAZO II, SIM TOLENTINO.
Lim’s curator’s note explains: “There are stories and emotions that no words can suffice expressing, and they are too profound for anyone to verbally convey in authentic and honest form. HINDI MABIGKAS NA MGA SANAYSAY is a collection of distinct and unique narratives that are bonded with common intents; to be bold, to be honest, to share a part of oneself, to be grateful, to be patriotic, to do something for a greater purpose that goes beyond the art and the artist.” Lim is also one of the founders and officers of Christian + Collective.
Present during the event were Usec. Carlos D. Sorreta, DFA; Director-General Jose Maria A. Cariño, Pasay City Mayor Imelda Calixto-Rubiano, and Cdr Victor B. Mariano, PN (Res), together with other Philippine Navy Reserve Officers.
A painting entitled “Beyond Our Borders” by Lim was also unveiled and formally turned over to FSI as a donation. The exhibit runs from February 1 to 15, 2023 at the DFA Lobby.
