The Foreign Service Institute (FSI), through the Carlos P. Romulo School of Diplomacy (CPRSD), successfully completed the Online Course on Passport Services-Advanced Level (OCPS-AL), a fully asynchronous online course. Thirty-six (36) personnel from the Department of Foreign Affairs’ (DFA’s) Home Office, Consular Offices, and Foreign Service Posts participated in the Course. CPRSD’s Functional and Transition Program Section (FTPS) offered the Course from 01 to 30 December 2020.
The Course was aimed at re-introducing the key information and policies about passport services, and preparing the participants to decide appropriate actions or responses—using legal bases and protocols—when dealing with more complex issues surrounding passport services.
OPCS-AL focused on the General Overview of Passport and Other Consular Services, the features of a Philippine Passport, Philippine Laws on Citizenship, processing Philippine Passports, and Handling Passport Clients Effectively.
OCPS-AL was offered through the DFA-Human Resource Management Office’s Learning Management System (LMS) and the participants were provided access to the LMS from 01 to 30 December 2020 to take the Course at their own convenient time.
With this new addition to FSI’s asynchronous courses under FTPS, more personnel from the Home Office, Consular Offices, and Posts can now avail themselves of this training program and work at their own pace within the given period.
