The Foreign Service Institute’s (FSI) Quality Management System (QMS) Core Team, led by FSI Officer-in-Charge (Director-General) Celeste Vinzon-Balatbat, presented the Institute’s ISO 9001:2015 (QMS) Compliance Certificate to DFA Secretary Teodoro L. Locsin on 17 February 2020.

Secretary Locsin congratulated the FSI Team for obtaining ISO certification after only nine months of trainings, seminars, workshops, and implementation phase.

“FSI draws inspiration from the DFA’s earlier example of obtaining ISO certification,” said OIC (Director-General) Vinzon-Balatbat.

She also expressed appreciation for the training programs, guidance, and handholding provided by the Development Academy of the Philippines on QMS implementation and certification.

Chief of Staff Irene Susan Natividad (extreme right) and Assistant Chief Coordinator Jaime Ramon Ascalon (extreme left), both from the Office of the Secretary, also marked this milestone event with the Secretary and the FSI family.
