The Climate Change Seminar was conducted on 14 March 2019 at the Carlos P. Romulo School of Diplomacy of the Foreign Service Institute to twenty (20) personnel from the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) and the Institute, whose work entails harnessing resources from the international level particularly on Climate Change adaptation and environment protection.

Dr. Rosa T. Perez, member of the National Panel of Technical Experts of the Climate Change Commission and one of the speakers, discussed about the definition and basic elements of climate change. She also talked about the current and future trends of climate change, and its impacts in the Philippines.

Mr. Arnold Grant S. Belver, Senior Science Research Specialist at the Climate Change Commission, also one of the main speakers, gave an in-depth lecture on the various national and international response to climate change, including the different government policies and legal initiatives and international conventions and agreements on climate change.

The one-day seminar was aimed at imparting the necessary information, policies, conventions, awareness, and understanding of the issues related to climate change. It also discussed topics about possible implications to the security and development of the country in general.
