
The Foreign Service Institute (FSI) conducted an orientation for new employees of the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) at the Institute’s Carlos P. Romulo School of Diplomacy on 19 October 2018.
Forty-seven participants from the Consular Offices (COs) in Antipolo, San Pablo, Ozamiz/Clarin, and Tagum City attended the one-day orientation, which was designed to introduce them the organizational structure and functions of the DFA and its offices, the department’s policies, procedures, and goals as well as the ethical standards and guidelines of government service. It also included the mission, vision, and core values of the Department which will guide and enable the new employees to integrate smoothly into the organization and prepare them to be competent and efficient in the performance of their tasks.
