Batch 25 of the Foreign Service Officers’ Cadetship Course visited the GMA Network Center on August 17, 2018. The visit aimed to enhance the cadets’ knowledge of the various approaches of advancing public diplomacy through partnership with broadcast media.

The cadets were given a tour of the studios used by the network for its radio and television programs, such as the GMA News studio and the DZBB Station studio. Members of the delegation had a hands-on experience with radio broadcasting when they participated in a live radio show. The cadets were also able to observe the taping of the segment called “GMA Breaking News.”

The visit was part of the Public Diplomacy module of the cadetship program conducted by the Foreign Service Institute.
