The Foreign Service Institute organized a Mabini Dialogue titled Japan’s Proactive Contribution to Peace held last 16 March 2017 at the Special Envoy Carlos Chan Room, Foreign Service Institute, DFA. The guest speaker was Dr. Akiko Fukushima, Professor at the School of Global Studies and Collaboration in the Aoyama Gakuin University. Dr. Fukushima discussed the challenges in the security environment impacting Japan, how Japan addresses the increasing uncertainties and the way forward for Japan-Philippines cooperation to promote peace.
