The Foreign Service Institute (FSI) conducted another session of The Diplomat’s Hour for the Foreign Service Officers’ Cadetship Course (FSOCC) – Batch XXIII. Ms. Rosanna Villamor-Voogel, Minister and Consul at the Philippine Embassy in Washington D.C. served as the speaker during a video conference on 7 February 2017.

Ms. Villamor-Voogel shared her extensive experience on negotiations and conflict resolution from previous foreign service assignments at the Philippine Consulate General in Hong Kong, and Philippine Embassies in Tokyo and Singapore. Ms. Villamor-Voogel’s duties in the U.S. capital include negotiations on priority areas of cooperation – defense modernization, security, and law enforcement.

The Diplomat’s Hour is a platform which provides the new Foreign Service Officers various perspectives on International Relations, particularly in foreign affairs and diplomatic work.
