The Foreign Service Institute’s Scholarship Programs Section conducted its second Scholarship Roadshow featuring the National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies (GRIPS) Programs on Tuesday, 12 July 2016, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., at the Foreign Service Institute, Pasay City.

Dr. Mikitaka Masuyama, Dean and Vice-President of GRIPS, presented its Master’s and Ph.D. Programs and its scholarship opportunities for promising young and mid-career public policy professionals.

Dr. Masuyama discussed the Public Policy Program (PPP) which is GRIPS’ flagship program.  It aims to educate leaders, public managers, and policy analysts in the policy tools and ethical principles needed for democratic efficient governance.  PPP has two tracks:

  • One-Year Master’s Program of Public Policy (MP1)
  • Two-Year Master’s Program of Public Policy (MP2)

Likewise, Dr. Masuyama presented the one-year Young Leaders Program and five-year Ph.D. Program on Global Governance (G-cube).

Scholarships are available for exceptionally qualified applicants through the Japanese government (MEXT), the Asian Development Bank (ADB), international organizations, as well as GRIPS.

GRIPS is a Tokyo-based graduate university, a global hub for world-class policy research and education.
