National Security Council (NSC) Deputy Director-General Vicente M. Agdamag welcomed the 22 cadets of the Foreign Service Officers Cadetship Course (FSOCC) when they paid a courtesy call on National Security Adviser Cesar P.  Garcia, Jr., in Diliman, Quezon City, 9 March 2016.

Led by Ambassador Claro S. Cristobal, Director-General of the Foreign Service Institute (FSI), the cadets introduced themselves to the NSC officer, after which Secretary Garcia remarked, “this batch is truly representative of contemporary Philippine society.”

Following the call, the NSC provided a series of briefings to the cadets, all focusing on Philippine national security and the Philippine National Security Policy.

The visit ended with a message from Secretary Garcia, who expressed appreciation to the FSI for continuously facilitating the visit of FSO cadets to the council. He added that for this particular visit, he also learned a lot about the Philippines from Ambassador Cristobal and the cadets.
