The ASEAN National Secretariat of Vietnam and the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam organized the Regional Workshop on ASEAN’s Experiences and Best Practices on Peace, Conflict Management, and Conflict Resolution on 5 November 2015 in Hanoi, Vietnam.

The workshop aims to implement Action Line B.2.2.ii. under the ASEAN Political-Security Community Blueprint on (1) compiling ASEAN’s experiences and best practices on peace, conflict management and conflict resolution, and (2) exploring ways to improve and promote feasible ASEAN and regional mechanisms for peacekeeping, conflict management and conflict resolution.

Virgemarie Salazar, Senior Foreign Affairs Research Specialist of the Center for International Relations and Strategic Studies at FSI, shared her insights on the Bangsamoro peace process, particularly on the best practices that can be gleaned from the Philippine experience.

Track I and II representatives from ASEAN Member States participated in the workshop.
