The Foreign Service Institute attended the second Country Coordinators Meeting of the Network of ASEAN-China Think Tanks (NACT CCM) at the Sheraton Imperial, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on 16 November 2015. The second NACT CCM was organized by the Institute of Strategic and International Studies (ISIS) Malaysia, NACT Malaysia Country Coordinator, in cooperation with the China Foreign Affairs University (CFAU), NACT China Country Coordinator.

Deputy Director-General Julio Amador III and Foreign Affairs Research Specialist Joycee Teodoro attended the meeting.

The second NACT CCM built upon the success of the first NACT CCM, which was held in Beijing, China in July 2014. The CCM discussed NACT’s concept paper and future projects and activities that NACT will undertake next year.  2016 marks the 25th anniversary of ASEAN-China relations.

The NACT CCM is NACT’s highest decision-making body. The NACT has two joint coordinators – China and an ASEAN Member State on an alphabetical order of rotation coinciding with the ASEAN chairmanship. Back to back with the NACT CCM was the NACT Seminar with the theme “ASEAN-China Relations: Cooperation, Community, and Connectivity” held on 17 November 2015.
