H.E. Igor Khovaev, Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Philippines, paid a courtesy call to Foreign Service Institute (FSI) Director-General Claro S. Cristobal on 1 September 2015.

Director-General Cristobal and Ambassador Khovaev discussed the upcoming 40th anniversary of Philippines-Russia diplomatic relations and future collaboration between the Institute and the Russian Diplomatic Academy.

Ambassador Khovaev expressed that the Russian Diplomatic Academy is ready and willing to strengthen cooperation and exchanges with the Institute. Director-General Cristobal welcomed this initiative and looks forward to greater linkages with its Russian counterpart.
