Acting Director-General Julio S. Amador III and Mr. Oh Choong-Suk, Director of the Korean Cultural Center (KCC), signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) and Supplemental Agreement between the Foreign Service Institute (FSI) and the KCC in a simple ceremony at the Carlos P. Romulo Library on 19 May 2015.

In attendance were Mr. Lee Hansang, First Secretary of the Korean Embassy in the Philippines, and officers and officials of the Institute and KCC.

The MOU seeks to strengthen cooperation and establish linkages between the Institute and the KCC through the establishment of the Korean Language and Culture Program and assist each other in other pursuits pertinent to the diplomatic profession as well as in the field of international political, economic, and cultural relations. The Institute also agreed to host Korean language classes under the ambit of the Korean Language and Culture Program.

After the signing, Acting Director-General Amador, Director Oh, and officers of the Institute and KCC discussed other avenues of collaboration such as the possibility of the Korean Cultural Center donating books to the Carlos P. Romulo Library.
