Ms. Yelitza Ventura Polanco, Charge d’Affaires of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, and Director-General Carlos D. Sorreta renewed of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and the Republic of the Philippines for Cooperation between their Diplomatic Institutes during Ms. Polanco’s visit to the Foreign Service Institute on 5 March 2015.

The Memorandum of Understanding seeks to strengthen cooperation and establish a linkage program between the FSI and the Diplomatic Institute of Venezuela to enhance their respective development programs.

During their meeting, Ms. Polanco said that the Diplomatic Institute of Venezuela is offering online diploma courses and that slots are available for Philippine diplomats. She also donated to the FSI journals and papers published by the Venezuelan institute.

Director-General Sorreta congratulated Ms. Polanco for her initiative and thanked her for the donation. He assured her that the FSI would include the offer in its scholarship programs.
