The fourth batch of the Pre-Departure Orientation Seminar for the year 2014 was conducted last 22 September to 13 October. Twenty-nine participants completed the program consisting of participants from the Department of Foreign Affairs (18), Department of Tourism (4), Department of National Defense (1), Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (4), Philippine National Police (1), and Philippine Navy (1).
The National Day Simulation exercise marked the culmination of the seminar. The participants simulated the 116th Philippine Independence Celebration at a Philippine Embassy of their choice. With the aim of preparing future diplomats and attachés for their first foreign assignments, this activity intends to prepare them to carry out their organizational and protocolar responsibilities during an actual National Day Reception at post.
