Thirty-six (36) participants from the Department of Foreign Affairs, Department of National Defense, Social Security System, Department of Tourism, Philippine National Police, Department of Labor and Employment and Overseas Workers’ Welfare Association completed the Pre-Departure Orientation Seminar last 16 February 2015 at the Carlos P. Romulo School of Diplomacy.

The three-week program, which opened on 26 January 2015, covers an overview of Philippine foreign policy, Foreign Service work operations, and administrative preparations. The seminar aims to orient participants on the nature of their tasks as first-time Foreign Service Personnel and on the realities they will face at post. Applying concepts learned from lectures on the One Country Team Approach, Protocol and Social Graces, the participants were commended by their critics, Mr. Raymund G. Toledo from the Office of Protocol (first row, 7th from left) and Mrs. Araceli Cuesta Jimeno (not in photo), for the successful and “authentic” depiction of a National Day Reception.
