The latest batch of the Foreign Service Officers Cadetship Course (FSOCC), Batch Salinlahi, paid a courtesy call on the Secretary of Foreign Affairs, Hon. Albert F. del Rosario, at the Carlos P. Garcia Conference Room, Department of Foreign Affairs, on 10 February 2015.

The new officers had the opportunity to share their insights on issues concerning Philippine foreign policy. During the exchange, the 23 young officers shared various suggestions on strengthening efforts on economic diplomacy in the emerging economies of Sub-Saharan Africa and Latin America, the importance of cultural diplomacy, the use of ICT, and the country’s public diplomacy initiatives.

The call ended with the Secretary expressing his desire to meet the officers again in six months, with the aim of following up on each one’s own development and efforts towards the realization and attainment of their policy recommendations.
