The Foreign Service Institute participated in the first De La Salle – College of Saint Benilde Consular and Diplomatic Affairs (CDA) Program Career Day last 7 October 2014 at the DLS-CSB Augusto Rosario Gonzalez Theater.

Foreign Affairs Research Specialist RJ Marco Lorenzo Parcon, also an alumnus of CSB, represented the Institute during the career talk, and gave a briefing on the Institute and how its research and training activities support the Department of Foreign Affairs. He urged CDA graduating students to take their internships in FSI as it has a favorable environment for professional and personal growth.

Ms. Cathrin Margot De Castro of the Institute’s Personnel Section was also present during the event; she gladly answered students’ queries with regard to the current career and internship opportunities in FSI, and detailed the submission procedure and the documents students need for their application.

The CDA Career Day was spearheaded by CSB Central Student Government’s School of Multidisciplinary Studies Secretary. The US Embassy, Asian Institute of Management, La Camara Manila, Philippine Red Cross and the World Youth Alliance also participated in the event.
