Foreign Service Officer (FSO) Cadets Batch XXI attended a briefing on national security at the National Security Council (NSC) on 17 September 2014. During the briefing, cadets were given the opportunity to learn about the security concerns of the Philippines, the national security policy, and crisis management.

As part of the briefing, the cadets paid a courtesy call to National Security Adviser Cesar P. Garcia, Jr. In his brief remarks, the National Security Adviser emphasized the vital links between the Foreign Service and national security.

Deputy Director – General Vicente M. Agdamag and Assistant Director – General Lorenzo A. Clavejo also came to join the National Security Adviser in welcoming the FSO Cadets Salinlahi. The Foreign Service Institute (FSI) Assistant Director Julio S. Amador III initiated the introduction between the National Security Council and the cadets.
